Introducing our stunning Nevada Dry Creek Turquoise Necklace with Opalized Petrified Wood! This was designed with antiqued brass as it complements the stones so well. The turquoise beads are 6mm cube, the petrified wood beads are 4mm, 6mm and 8mm round, and the antiqued brass beads are in various sized cornerless cube shapes. Dangling in the center is an antiqued brass feather to represent the Shoshone Native Tribe that first discovered this beautiful turquoise. The necklace is completed with a lobster clasp.
Dry Creek Turquoise is only found in Lander County, outside of Austin, Nevada. The mine is currently closed so we were happy to have found these hard-to-find beads! The coloring is a beautiful creamy light blue with a cocoa brown matrix, making them a perfect match for opalized petrified wood. This Dry Creek Turquoise is considered high grade, harder than the average turquoise, so no stabilization is needed. Since discovered in the 1990's, it's becoming more popular, but supply is limited.
Choose your length size: 16", 18" or 20". Shown in size 18"; the size you select will have adjusted brass cube beads near the clasp.
